Roshan Pakistan : Cook Book : Basen ka Halwa
Ingredients
 

 

 



1.  1-cup besin (gram flour)
2.   1-cup flour (maida)
3.   1 1/2 cup oil
4.   1-cup water
5.   1-cup sugar
6.   2 tbsp pistachios
7.   1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions
1. Boil sugar in water, for making syrup.
2. Set this aside.
3. First cook basin in oil, for 15-20 minutes over low heat.
4. Then add flour to the pan and cook it along with the basin for 8 minutes.
5. Keep stirring.
6. Then take the pan off the stove and add the syrup to it.
7. Spread it on a tray smeared with butter.
8. Sprinkle with pistachios and cardamom powder.
9. After it cools cut into square or diamond shaped pieces for serving.
